Announcement of the Candidates for Interview

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (International Program) Academic Year 2020 (Round II: Admissions)

Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University is to announce 68 applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (International Program) Academic Year 2020 (Round II: Admissions). The applicants for the program as per appendix must attend the online interview with Microsoft Teams on April 7, 2020 during 09.00 – 12.00.

1. The interview of the admission consideration for BBTech International Program will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2020 with Microsoft Teams (GMT+7 Bangkok Time).

Invitation 08.30 – 09.00 (Section 1), 09.30 – 10.00 (Section 2), 10.30 – 11.00 (Section 3)

Interview 09.00 – 10.00 (Section 1), 10.00 – 11.00 (Section 2), 11.00 – 12.00 (Section 3) 

2. If any of those do not show up on that day, they will be automatically cancelled from our admission process unless he/she is on exceptional condition.

   Any candidate who cannot interview at the scheduled time, please send an email to bbtechchula@gmail.com (Deadline: April 6, 2020 before 16.00 (GMT+7). Your reason will be determined  by the BBTech Interview Committee. If the reason is legitimate*, the interview will be rearranged at a different date/time.

   *Interview time conflict with another program in Chulalongkorn University is not legitimate.

3. The applicant selection will be announced on April 9, 2020 at BBTech website (http://www.bbtech.sc.chula.ac.th).

Before April 7, 2020

1. Open Microsoft Teams website (https://products.office.com/en-US/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software)
2. Click [Sign in] 
3. Click [Create one!]
4. Fill the applicant’s email that used to apply BBTech Program (online application form/ CU CAS application). Click [Next] and set your password.
5. Check your email immediately, verify your email by fill the code and then click [Next].
6. Fill the characters you see and then click [Next]
7. You have signed up successfully, click to download Microsoft Teams (available on Mac, Windows, iOS and Android devices).
   
8. Sign in your account on Microsoft Teams. If you see “You’re not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization.”, please ignore this message.
9. Check your email inbox again, the invitation will be sent to join the specific interview waiting room (BBTech1 – BBTech5). Click [Open Microsoft Teams]. You will be redirected to Microsoft Teams.
10. You will see “Welcome to Teams”, click [Continue].
11. You are ready for interview. Please check your group and section (see the table below).

April 7, 2020

During your Invitation period (GMT+7 Bangkok Time)

08.30 – 09.00 (Section 1), 09.30 – 10.00 (Section 2), 10.30 – 11.00 (Section 3)

1. Open Microsoft Teams and click your interview waiting room (BBTech1 – BBTech5). Click [General] Example; BBTech1
2. Click [Join] during your invitation period.
3. You will see your face and then click [Join now]
4. You are meeting now in General (This is a waiting room.). Applicant must waits for line.
5. The applicant will be invited by Interview Committee to join the private interview room (1 – 5).

During your Interview period (GMT+7 Bangkok Time)

09.00 – 10.00 (Section 1), 10.00 – 11.00 (Section 2), 11.00 – 12.00 (Section 3) 

1. Applicant will be selected to join the private interview room sequently and it will be notified in your Microsoft Teams program/application. Click [Video] for start your interview.
2. Please show Thai ID card or passport to the Interview Committee before starting a conversation.
3. After the interview finished, you will be removed from the call. Click [Dismiss]. DO NOT click [Rejoin]!
4. You will see “On hold” in General. Click [Hang up] to exit.

Remark: If BBTech Interview Committee cannot connects to the applicant, the applicant will be waitlisted, please wait for the invitation again.

Interview Policy

1. An online interview is a part of BBTech Admissions 2020 that substituted in-person interview, front-facing camera or webcam is required. Unable to see the applicant’s face during the interview leading to void interview.
2. BBTech Program will records the video during your online interview for reference purposes only.
3. Applicants are not allowed to take note, record, publish the questions or any part of the interview. Violation may result in a ban on the applicants to study at Chulalongkorn University. The application will be rejected, even though an offer of admission has already been made. The applicant may be prosecuted according to Computer-related Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007).
